The following classifications describe the various AscenTel™ Partner
relationships
Agent
An Agent is a company or individual who brings qualified End User
leads to Ascent. When these leads close the referring Agent is paid a
commission.
Application Developer (AD)
An Application Developer historically specializes in web and business
application development. VoiceXML application development is a related
skill to familiar HTML and XML coding and represents a new business
opportunity. Ascent certified Application Developers receive specialized
training and support and provide Voice application design and development
services to customers.
AscenTel™ Value Added Reseller (VAR)
An AscenTel™ Value Added Reseller (VAR) is a specialized leader in
reselling value-added telephony products and services. These companies
offer multiple communication convergence solutions to clients in one or
more geographic locations, and typically have a reselling and/or
consulting force that can support clients regionally or nationally.
Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM)
An OEM is a company that has developed a proprietary hardware or
software product and incorporates AscenTel™ or other proprietary software
components from Ascent as an integrated feature in their product offering.
