The AscenTel™ server has five major components that can be deployed with various software and hardware configurations.
The five major components are:
 - Resource Manager
 - ASR server
 - TTS server
 - VoiceXML interpreter
 - System tools and utilities

The AscenTel™ server can support a minimum footprint of one server with all the components integrated to a highly scalable multi server configuration where all the five components are distributed across multiple servers. The Resource manager’s capability to pool ASR and TTS resources provides optimal performance for the AscenTel™ server. 

The AscenTel™ solution is based on the industry standard specification, VoiceXML for developing custom and cost-effective web-based voice applications. It provides a highly scalable platform for deploying speech web applications. The architecture provides great flexibility for integrating the ASR and TTS technologies of several major vendors by using a vendor agnostic interface. The system has the capability of handling multiple languages for the TTS and ASR engines.
